Barnoldswick Town F.C. are an English football club based in Barnoldswick, Lancashire. They play in the North West Counties League Premier Division. ==History== There was a previous club of the same name that represented the town in the 1920s and 1930s. The present club was formed in 2003 following the merger of existing clubs Barnoldswick United and Barnoldswick Park Rovers.The club currently run three sides, with the East Lancashire League Third XI using the former Park Rovers ground adjacent to the cricket ground within the Victory Park complex. The club's main home ground is the Silentnight Stadium, which is located on West Close also inside Victory Park. Barnoldswick Town were elected into the North West Counties Football League for the 2009–10 season, after finishing 6th during their previous campaign in the West Lancashire Football League Premier Division. On 27 January 2009 Town played their first competitive game under the new Silentnight Stadium floodlights when Turton beat them 2–1 in a West Lancashire League fixture,whilst the lights were officially opened on 4 August 2009 when Accrington Stanley Reserves drew 1–1 with the home side. In their inaugural season in the North West Counties Football League, they achieved promotion to the Premier Division following a 2–0 win against Leek CSOB on 1 May 2010.
